End of Days

So with all the market turmoil going on and what not, people have been speculating that it’s a sign that the end of the world is coming. "The end is nigh"- they say. Perhaps they are over reacting, but you can never be too careful.

With that thought in mind a friend had the grace of sending this to me: http://www.youvebeenleftbehind.com/.

Apparently it’s a real service that people actually pay for whereby if the world were to come to end by heavenly hand (aka, the Rapture comes) and one were to be plucked from their earthly body and brought up to heaven, this service would kick in. Anybody unlucky enough to be left behind (as the service's name so adeptly points out) would be notified that you are no longer "with this world", also all of your important files would have been backed up for them to view. So its kind of a post-mortem estate management/out-of-office/voice mail service for the "great beyond".

- "What?!" - you say. "There will be too much devastation for any e-mail or phone calls to take place if the Rapture comes". Fret not, the website's FAQ page has addressed your concern, "[destruction of the internet] …won't be until the second half of the tribulation".
